07/07/09 Tuesday (Day 5 in Hong Kong)

Woke up really late at 3pm. Prepared ourselves then went to Causeway Bay to have our lunch there before going over to Agnes friend's salon named Praise. I had my hair dyed by this petty & pretty young lady which is 16 years old only while Agnes had her hair cut & dye. The price is HKD $238 & $338 respectively. I had my hair done first so i went to walk around the area. Saw this mega sale at G2000 & i can't resist myself from entering the shop. End spending HKD$690 for 3 shirt & 1 pants for work usage.

After Agnes had her hair done, we went to Tsim Sha Tsui to meet her HK's colleagues. We dined at a place in Hau Fook Street. Agnes had her dessert at Dui Lau Shan and we went back to the hotel after that.

When we got back to room for awhile, we saw a cockroach in our room so we requested to change the room & the wish is fulfilled by giving us another room at level 4. We gonna packed & drag all our belongings up & its was not an easy task to do. Bath & put face mask after everything is settled in our new room.

What a costless way to detox & i'm loving it. What i mean was actually by exercising. Went for a workout session after i got home from work and as well did some exploration in my neighbourhood. I found out that somewhere not very far from my house there is a park connector called Pang Sua Connector. I did some running which i start from my house's side gate then i ran to Stagmont Ring. There's a canal beside it and on the side of the canal there's a running & cycling track which is the Pang Sua Connector i mentioned earlier. So i ran from there all the way to Teck Whye before making a U-turn. Actually still can go on to Bukit Panjang but i don wanna run so far. After making the U-turn i ran back to the other end of the connector which is at Sungei Kadut there. When i reach there i took a mins rest to check out the map then continue to run back to my place. When i reached my place i went to the exercise corner. I did 1 set of 10 push-ups, then 1 set of 15 sit-ups, then 1 set of 10 push-ups, then 1 set of 15 sit-ups, then 1 set of 10 bench press then end with last set of 15 sit-ups. Overall spend an hour exercising and now my body is feeling so wormy.

06/07/09 Monday (Day 4 in Hong Kong)

Woke up pretty late in the afternoon at 1530. Need to send our dirty clothes to laundry so we brought very little clothes over. 1 - 7 kg costs HKD $32. Then after that went for lunch at the same cafe as yesterday. After lunch went to a Cybercafe which is just opposite my hotel while Agnes went for massage. The usage is just HKD $6/hr. Need to check my mail & use facebook as well. We went back to the hotel to rest after our activity.

Agnes need to go for her HK friend's birthday celebration at night so i m left alone in the hotel room. So the plan for me is to have dinner at somewhere nearby then visit Temple street all by myself. But before that went to collect the laundry at 1900 then back to the hotel room again to prepare. Back at the hotel i called Winnie but she's working so she asked me to call Virginia and gave me her no. So i did called her & just nice she was about to end work so we decided to meet at Causeway Bay. Yeah. i don need to have dinner all by myself already. She brought me to Simply Thai at Times Square for dinner. We walked around the area after our dinner. I bought a smal tee for $HKD 169 at Chocolate. Then we continue walking around the area while waiting for Bebe to end work. Later we met up with Bebe & went to a dessert shop nearby. Had durian puff for dessert. Their durian puff is different from SG de. Its actually like durian roll. After our dessert we decided to go back. While walking to the bus stop we walked past Want Chai Fire Station. Bebe & me send Virginia to the bus stop to take the bus and she send me to my bus stop to take the bus too. At my bus stop she asked me whether do i wanna go back or go to her friend's pub. Well my answer was anything so we u-turn & walked to her friend's pub. Its is situation in a office building on the 18th storey with seaview. Its simply beautiful. We had a jug of drink over that and we left the place at 0230. Bebe accompany me back to the hotel there before she took another bus back home. Instead of washing up and rest, i put my loot and go to the Cybercafe. Checked my email & chatted with Wei Qi, Bebe and a short web cam with Zerbel. An hour later back to the hotel room to rest.

05/07/09 Sunday (Day 3 in Hong Kong)

Hm... Wake Up at 1230 then we check out & cab to our new hotel, New Kings hotel situated at YauTei, Nathan Rd. We got a staff rate at HKD $250/night. After we checked in we went for lunch around Portland street. On the way back after lunch we bought some necessities. Rested in the hotel room till 1900 then go prepare to meet Bebe & Virginia for dinner. We had dinner at some chinese restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui. The total bill is around HKD $400. Then after dinner we went to AT pub in Tsim Sha Tsui also to meet Agnes's friends, Spencer & ah Ming. We drank, chilled, play games & sing songs over there. The 5 of us drank 4 buckets of 6 bottles of beer. I learnt a new guessing/dice game from Agnes's friend Spencer. After the night over there, Bebe & Virginia left & the remaining 4 of us went to Agnes's friend pub called Silver also in Tsim Sha Tsui. Had another 2 buckets of 5 bottles of beer. The whole night had so much beer!!!. I learnt another new game over at the pub called Lucky 7. We went back to our hotel around 4 to rest.

04/07/09 Saturday (Day 2 ShenZhen & Hong Kong)

Wake up at 1300 then prepare and check out & leave our luggage at the hotel lobby. Then we went for lunch & shop around the vicinity.
Went for a threading session there while Agnes wash her hair. Its only RMB $30. So CHEAP! You know what? You can smoke in the shopping center over there. Was smoking while waiting for Agnes to finish washing her hair. After everything is done we went back to the hotel to take our luggage and took a cab to LuoHu train station. From there we can walk over to Hong Kong.

Hong Kong
Just by walking over a big canal we can reached Hong Kong from ShenZhen. After we cross over to Hong Kong, there is a MTR station called LuoHu. We took the train to Mong Kok East Station. we tried to search for our hotel Ho Mong Kok Hotel (Argyle Rd) but cannot find so Agnes called the auntie and we waited for very long until the auntie came to bring us there. Its is actually a very small place with 2 single beds and a bloody small toilet. Once we reach the hotel i changed we went for dinner at Satay King at around Sai Yeung Choi Street. They have alot of vegetable street names over in Hong Kong. After dinner we shopped at "Woman street"and went back to hotel after that. Once again we changed & this time we went to find Agnes's relative at Sam Shui Po. Had a few glasses of Asahi dry then head over to Lan Kwai Fong (Central) to find my Hong Kong friends Bebe, Virginia & Winne. So i'm the fortunate guy that night. 4 ladies to 1 man. Haha. We went over to a club at level 29 of LKF (Lan Kwai Fong) hotel. They have 2 levels in the club. Level 1 is just a chilled out place with a bar & level 2 is more like a club. They have really very beautiful scenary over there & is able to view the sea. First round i had a Grey Goose Redbull & Agnes had a Coke as she don really drink. Its on the house from Bebe & friends. Then the second round i bought another glass of Grey Goose Redbull then i know how much it cost. Freaking HKD $127. Its like SGD $23. Got to know some of Bebe ex-colleagues when she is working at the airport & i got myself a very sexy God-mom called Sunita. She has 2 daugthers aged 22 & 21 years old. Went over to Insomnia with all the girls after that place closed. Ordered Southen Comfort/7-up for myself & Coke for Agnes in order to get in. It costs HKD $120. I'm like the only guy in the group. Wooooo! So shiok that night. Me & Agnes left ard 5 with Winnie as she is feeling alil high. Winnie took a cab back while me & Agnes took a mini bus back to our hotel.

Had a group meeting in the morning in the office. Then went to have lunch with Zerbel before going to another branch meeting at 2pm while she went to find PeiQin. After my work we met up again at AMK hub for a show "Obessed". The plot is very blend but the girls are hot to make up for it. Went back home after the movie. Was pretty tired. Slept in the train & i missed my station. Alighted at CCK and took the other direction back to Yew Tee.

Was at home the whole afternoon as i was well asleep. I missed my bed so much. Woke up at ard 4pm then came online. Went for with with my family n my grandmom for her bday dinner then after that head to AMK hub to meet Zerbel for a show. We watched The Hunting in Connecticut. I find it pretty nice. I was startled once throughout the show. After movie smoke 2 sticks then went back le as tml morning got meeting.

03/07/09 Friday Day 1 in ShenZhen

Meet up with Zerbel at Tanan Merah Mrt station as she is sending me off at the airport.
When we reached the airport the first thing we do is to search for Popeyes Chicken. This time it take me little effort to locate where is it. After our meal we went to smoke then took a shuttle bus to Budget Terminal to check in. We chilled over that for awhile then i asked her to go back rest as she was very tired. So after Zerbel left, i went into the boarding area. Wandered for a short while before i board the plane.

After i came out of the arrival hall i was totally lost. This is my first time to ShenZhen & in fact my first time going oversea alone. (But i'm gonna meet my friend in ShenZhen la). Wanted to call my friend but i dono how to use their pubic phone. Asked some stranger to lend a call but they very dao. Ask the security how to get to LuoHu train station they also dono. So i ended walking around the airport. Finally i found a bus service 330A that can take me to LuoHu train station. From LuoHu station i took a taxi to Hai Lian hotel at Ying Chun rd. When i reached there my friend Agnes is already waiting for me at the lobby. Went up to the room to put my luaggae then we went for supper somewhere nearby. Had Wanton noodles soup and we head back to the hotel to rest after that.

I need to go to Agnes's house to take somethings from her house & pass it to her when i meet up with her at ShenZhen.
Meet up with Zerbel for dinner at AMK hub before going to Agnes's house. I was so hungry that i ordered a plate of Hokkien Mee & a plate of Carrot Cake & Zerbal ordered a bowl of Beef noodles Soup. She had a lil of her beef noodles b4 passing it to me. I manage to finish my hokkien mee 90% of the carrot cake & the beef noodles. What an achievement!!!.. (laugh) First time finishing 3 portions in a single meal.

After our dinner, we took a bus over Serangoon to Agnes's place to take the things she want. After that we dono what to do so we decided to go l4d at Serangoon Garden. We walk from Agnes's place which is Serangoon all the way to Serangoon Garden. It took us around 20mins to reach there. We played for awhile b4 Zerbel's friends came to join us. But they left after playing for like a few games only. Me & zerbel stopped playing at around 1+am then we went to have a sit beside the bus stop. It was so boring that we decided to go to Boat Quay to eat. She thot that i wanna eat but when i reach that i m not hungry so we never eat but ordered some drinks. After that we walked from Bk Eating house to Merlion Park which is beside Butterfactory. We had a really long conversation over there. Went back to boat quay to cab home at 6am.

Need to attend Manulife Mid Year Agency Kick Off at Rock auditorium.
Shandy came to pick me up at my place in the afternoon and we head to Suntec City. We went to fish & Co for our lunch. Its has been so long since i had Fish & Co already. Then after that we proceed for the convention.

After the convention was walking around Suntec with my colleagues. Got one person give me a brochure about eye brown trimming and i deciding to go into their shop to take a look. I was the one that wanted to do threading on the hair on my neck but ended up i never do because they said its too short. Then my 2 colleagues kenna psycho and they did eye brown threading. They event share a package worth $100+. I feel so bad bringing them to the shop.

After that was a date with Zerbel. Wanted to go for dinner together but she's not hungry and neither am i. At that point of time i was really thristy so i had a glass of ice milk tea at ToastBox. We have no idea where we wanted to go next so when that happens, we will be going for l4d. Took a bus from City Hall and we alighted opposite Concord Hotel (former Meridian Hotel). Once we alighted the bus, i saw the new shopping mall at Somerset and i wanted to see what is inside the mall so we headed over that.. The mall has 10 levels which is alot! Then their walking space is so limited. But they do have very nice lift. Next is l4d time. Played till around 11pm and we decided to head over to Cineleisure for a show. Ended up not watching because they do not have a good seatings. Went level one to smoke and saw many friends there.

After Cine we went to Duxton to look for Zerbel's friend. After we got there i realised that i know him too. The place is too boring so we went to a pub at Boat Quay and i am the only one that is drinking. End of the night i had like 6-7 bots of Heinenken.

Dint sleep the whole night and in the morning went for a unit meeting with my colleague at Old Town Coffee Shop in Toa Payoh. They serve pretty nice coffee!! During the meeting Cheryl Anne texted me asking whether will i be free in the afternoon. Just nice i do not have any activity in the afternoon so i decided to meet up with her. Before we met up i had a very long chatting session with my manage. I told her what is my plan now & some other stuffs and it drag alil long & i was late when i finally met Cheryl.

We met up at Orchard Mrt station & we walk over to cineleisure from there.. Was really really hungry and we ended having our late lunch (3+pm) at Botak Jones. They serve really good food & its very filling also. Its really value for money. Cheryl though of watching a show but last minute she need to attend a meeting so we parted our way there.

After i reach home wanted to sleep but i scare i will wake up in the middle of the night so i tahan until 11+pm then go sleep. I haven not been sleeping early for the past few months.

Am quite please with the result as i recorded my best timing in my 2.4km run since after ORD.

MAHJONG!!!

Its been so long since i play mahjong. The last time was at Carolyn's house. Last night played with Carolyn, James & Zi Qing. We play small small only. 20/40c then zi mo up $1. Had a quick first round and won $4. The only highlight during the round is James de zi mo men qing dan tiao 5 dai.

For the 2nd round onwards, Botak came so James & Carolyn got to tag. This continue for 2 more rounds and we have to call it a day. From 2nd - 4th round i won around $70. Best win for me is zi mo pong pong yi se.

A very packed night that consist of several locations.
Lets start with Changi Airport.
Accompany my dear sis to the Airport just to get a bottle of perfume.
We took the train from Choa Chu Kang all the way to the Changi Aiport.

I was reading the Newspaper while she listen to music during the journey.

Then we start to cam whore in the train when there is not much people.
Destination Reached!
First thing to do is to go smoke. From there took a pic of the tower.
We need to take the Skytrain to the different Terminal.

A doctor asked a patient: "If I were to cut one of your ears off,what will happen to you?"
Patient: "Then I will not be able to hear...."
Doctor: "Hmm…that's normal...so if I were to cut your other ear off, what will happen then?"
Patient: "I will not be able to see..."
The doctor became nervous and asked: "Why would you not see then???"
Patient: "Because my spectacles will fall off...."

IMH has an old lady who wears black, carries a black umbrella and squats at the entrance to the IMH everyday without fail, rain or shine.
The doctor wanted to administer treatment for her but decided to understand her behavior first.So, the doctor also wears black and carries a black umbrella; squatted besides her everyday.
The days go by...the two of them squatted side-by-side w/o a single exchange of word.
After one solid month, the old lady finally broke the silence and asked the doctor: "Err...Excuse me! Are you also a mushroom?"

He discovered a flat tyre when he was about to go home. He jacked up the truck and took the flat tyre down. When he was about to fix the spare tyre, he accidentally dropped all the bolts into the drain. As he can't fish the bolts out, he started to panic.
One patient happened to walk past and asked the driver what happened.
The driver thought to himself, since there's nothing much he can do; he told the patient the whole incident.
The patient laughed at him & said "can't even fix such a simple problem...no wonder you are destined to be a truck driver..."
Here’s what you can do, take one bolt each from the other 3 tyres and fix it onto this tyre. Then drive to the nearest workshop and replace the missing ones, easy as that"
The driver was very impressed and asked "You're so smart but why are you here at the IMH?"
Patient replied: "Hello, I stay here because I'm crazy not STUPID!"

Went Lunar with Jason. Total we open 2 bottles of Chivas. At the end of the night we manage to finish a bottle and Jason was drunk because he keep drinking with the singers. Then i have to send him back to Sembawang. This is the first time i drive a manual car since i gotten my license more than a year ago and its a WRX. The car die on me like @#$%^&*? times... Its so hard to drive that car especially with a racing clutch. After i get the hang of it already it better but still the car die only me lah...

Went back to Ngee Ann Poly to collect my graduation attire and meet up with Wan Zhen & Sky. The weather was bloody hot while i was in school. Now canteen 1 is closed and i dono what they will be doing with it and they open a new eating place call Our Makan Place. It is really really big and its air conditioned. The place don look like a canteen but more like a food court. The place has Subway too which is the first fast-food ever in Ngee Ann Poly.

What a great feeling to be able to get stuff which i like and needed. There are a numbers of things that i needed but i can only get one item and a time.
Today after my morning class i went for lunch with 2 of my colleagues then i headed to Marina Square for a haircut alone. After i got my hair cut, i went over to Pedro in City Link to hunt for a belt as my current belt is going to break soon. Ended up getting 1 belt & 1 tie as there's a promo going on.
In a while time i will be going over to Wei Qi's house to watch the match between Porto & Manchester United. Gonna pray hard that they will win the tie.

Its a gayish affair.
Was out with jiewei to Vivocity for a movie call coming soon. If my dear readers know what kind of show it is and picture that 2 guys watching it in a hot Wednesday afternoon what will you think?
While waiting for the show to start we walking around Vivocity aimlessly. I realize that they do not have much guy's apparel.
After the show we went to Bugis to look for his wife. Then we went over to the new shopping mall in Bugis called Illuma. From the exterior the building looks quite enormous but once we stepped inside the mall i find it very small. At the ground level there isn't alot of shop and the ceiling is very high making it look very spacious. The rest of the level is very normal. Not much shops and its not fully occupied too.
After the trip to illum is finally dinner time. Had some zi char over at Liang Seah St then time to head home.

After the game we went to grab some drink and in the meantime chill. Last activities of the night was playing arcade. It have been so many years since i last play any game in the arcade.

Soccer in the late afternoon with the guys from Dunearn. After that went to Deren's house to watch Manchester United vs Liverpool. The mighty Manchester United had fallen at the hand of Liverpool. Its a pity that they lost by such the scoreline 1-4. It has been awhile since Manchester United let in so many goals in a game especially when they are on home soil. First time meeting with Dawn & we had our dinner at Ajisen Plaza Singapura. After the dinner we went to TCC for some nice dessert while waiting for her friends to join her. She left for Double O & i head to Wei Qi house for mahjong session. Lost $19 for 2 rounds.

Watched Manchester United vs Inter Milan match over at some kopitiam in Fajar with friend. Manchester United got a well deserved with over the reigning Italian champion. Finally Sir Alex Fergurson manage to have a win over its counter-part Jose Mourinho. His past records again Jose Mourinho when he was in Porto & Chelsea did not stand so tall. Inter Milan had their chances to win this tie but the woodwork is against them. They was denied twice in a night. Now we shall see which team is Manchester United going to face in the quater-final. Hopefully they will give Barcelona a miss.

A day for my friends that had just got married and is getting married. Supposing i'm going to Hisham wedding in the day but due to some circumstances i did not. Congrats to Hisham & wishing him all the best for his marriage.
Then in the evening went to Cafe Del Mar for Zul solemnization party. Its was a time to catch up with friends/ex CDM colleagues(i use to worked there as p/t bartender). Saw so many familar faces.

After the party went over to Henderson waves and Marina barrage to explore and photos taking session.

Last activities of the night was meeting with Angelina & friends for some drinking session. First location was 7atenine at Esplanade then to The Pump Room.

History of Valentine Day

One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men — his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured.

According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl — who may have been his jailor's daughter — who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France.

While some believe that Valentine's Day is celebrated in the middle of February to commemorate the anniversary of Valentine's death or burial — which probably occurred around 270 A.D — others claim that the Christian church may have decided to celebrate Valentine's feast day in the middle of February in an effort to 'christianize' celebrations of the pagan Lupercalia festival. In ancient Rome, February was the official beginning of spring and was considered a time for purification. Houses were ritually cleansed by sweeping them out and then sprinkling salt and a type of wheat called spelt throughout their interiors. Lupercalia, which began at the ides of February, February 15, was a fertility festival dedicated to Faunus, the Roman god of agriculture, as well as to the Roman founders Romulus and Remus.

All the other parts laughed so hard and this made the arsehole very mad. To prove his point, the arsehole immediately slammed tightly closed and stayed that way for 6 days, refusing to rid the body of any waste whatsoever.

Day 1 - Brain got a terrible headache and cried out for relief

A Primary School teacher was having trouble with one of her students. The
teacher asked, "Harry, what is your problem?"

Harry answered, "I'm too smart for the Primary 1. My sister is in Primary 3
and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in Primary 3 too!"

The teacher took Harry to the principal's office. While Harry waited in the
outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was.
The principal told the teacher he would give the boy a test and if he failed
to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the Primary 1, and
behave. The teacher agreed. Harry was brought in. The conditions were
explained, and Harry agreed to take the test.

Principal: "What is 3 x 3?"
Harry: "9"

Principal: "What is 6 x 6?"

And so it went with every question the principal thought a Primary 1
student should know.

The principal looks at the teacher and tells her, "I think Harry can go to Primary 3."

Some not too smart gangsters decide to rob a bank. After several days of planning they agree on the best plan. The next day they get to work and are able to get into the bank relatively easy thanks to their planning.

Once inside the main vault they discover one wall is full of safety deposit boxes and start to work on them immediately. They drill and pry open the first box only to find a small container of vanilla pudding inside.

The Head Gangster says:
"Okay, well, at least we can eat it."

So they eat the pudding. They drill and pry open up the second Safety deposit box and there sits another pudding. They decide to devour it too.

Determined to find the goods, the process continues for the rest of the night until all the safety deposit boxes have been opened. They didn't find any money or jewelry in any of the boxes.

Disappointed the head gangster said:
"Well, at least they left something for us to eat"

The next day, while listening to the news they hear:
"Yesterday the largest sp-erm bank in the USA was robbed by an unknown group of people."

Finally i pass my M5 paper. After the test, i walk over to city hall mrt to catch a train back. Who knows i meet Wei Jie there and we went to watch Ong Bak 2 and after that went over to Balaclava and we meet Wei Na for a drink. The 3 of us manage to finish a bottle of grey goose. Went home after the drinking session cos was pretty tired.
